Is Snoop Dogg A Hater? Does Lil Wayne Deserve His Position? and Is Souljahh Boy Worthy of Maturing Into A Better Rapper?

By vipnightclubmagazine

This all started as a response to the question Is Snoop Dogg a hater? The question was posed on Hip HopVibe stated that Snoop Dogg was acting in a hater like fashion dogging on Souljah Boy and on Lil wayne.

“Recently, Snoop Dogg admitted to something truly horrible, the Doggfather, himself, has admitted to being a hater. Seeing how long Snoop has been out of the public eye, it would be hard to even track his recent activities. But, Snoop has shown some hater-like characteristics.

Last month, Snoop Dogg revealed that he had dissed Soulja Boy. People love to criticize Soulja Boy because of his style. His music may not appeal to everyone, but he brought something new, which is the essence of hip hop music. So, Snoop’s negative comments about Soulja Boy do give the impression that he is hating.

For the past few years, Lil Wayne has risen to the top of the game. In this same span, Snoop Dogg has been falling off. Looking at how hard Snoop has been working, this can be very frustrating. It is easy to imagine him going at Wayne out of sheer anger.

A song from Snoop Dogg’s latest album, Malice n Wonderland, recently leaked to the Internet. The song called out Lil Wayne and Birdman for their 2006 public kiss. Has Snoop Dogg become a hater?”

Lil Wayne is way to overatted when he should just be hated instead, Lil Wayne seems to live by the old saying “lets just throw a bunch of shit on the wall and see what sticks” he puts out a billion songs most of them crap and hopes One or two will stick. He’s been quite lucky that people have embraced him as much as they have in recent time considering how annoying his whiny cry baby sounding rap style tends to be. His style does seem to work on a few tracks here and there and his metaphors can sometimes be quite creative which is what gives him his appeal and it doesn’t hurt that most of the beats he rhymes over are club worthy Hip Hop beats.

The reality is this is what the entire music industry has been reduced to. Now in the digital era labels seem to think they can sign more artists, and push more of them at the same time. this is because the labels no longer have to send out as many physical copies of their artist’s single and albums, they simply email them to DJs and distribution services. So the record labels think they can just put out a ton of garbage and we as consumers will sort out the gems for them. That is what DJs used to do for the labels but now it’s getting out of hand. The labels send out way too much bad music cause they no longer are concerened with putting out  real high quality albums since most users will download only the songs they want from each album. The emphasis lately seems to be on more rather then higher quality. Then they wonder why their sales are slumping.

To be fair, Lil Wayne he really does have a unique style and while annoying as hell on many tracks the tracks that work well with him really come out quite unique because of Lil Wayne. Stick anyone else in his place and many of these tracks just wouldn’t have the same appeal. On a few occasions Lil Wayne really makes the track the hit that it is. But is it just pure luck that blogs DJs and magazines keep pushing Lil Wayne like he’s a drug? Or are we all just falling for the hype and jumping on the bandwagon? Lil Wayne definitly knows how to deliver the heavy punchlines and metaphors that make one think. But is that enough to warrant the steady stream of mixtapes featuring Lil Wayne on the cover and all exclusive Lil wayne tracks? Or are DJs just pushing him because he’s popular in an effort to cash in on the Lil Wayne express, and thusly making him more popular by default? Lil wayne even dissed the mixtape DJs and the entire mixtape industry. He dissed the very people partially responsible for his rise to stardom and still the DJs don’t boycott him and take him out of circulation.

Soulja Boy on the other hand has very little lyrical flow his style if you can call it that is very lazy slurred and unrefined. So far he has been able to hang in solely due to some of Hip Hop’s hardest recent beats and the fact that his first major hit was a huge corny immitatable dance. Crank Dat had the hardes Kettle Drum sounds ever used on a Hip Hop song and that is what ultimately made Soulja Boy famous. Had anyone else rapped over those beats they would have been the ones standing in Soulja Boy’s place while he would be relegated to the side lines. However we do believe Soulja Boy will eventually mature [into a Souljahh Man?] musicaly in both his content and his lyrics. His flow is changing and One can occasionally hear improvements from the young ultra skinny boy. Tila Tequila toyed with every young adolecent boy’s fantasy on Twitter earlier in the month when she announced that she was getting married. Tila however discredited her own make believe story by stating she was getting married to Soulja Boy, after which almost nobody believed she was getting married. I mean, who would ever think that Tila Tequila would marry such a tiny skinny funny looking boy as Soulja Boy, but then again Love is strange and can hit us for different reasons, so who knows?
